  • Institute for Tourism Development Research organized a training course on state management of tourism in Thanh Hoa Province

       On September 29th, 2017, in Thanh Hoa Province, the Institute for Tourism Development Research (ITDR), in cooperation with Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa, organized the training course “State management of tourism 2017” to disseminate information on the trend of tourism development in the world, in Vietnam and Thanh Hoa, and the updated documents in the state management of tourism.

    t.anh2017-6   Attending and giving the opening speech was Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Thanh Hoa and Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Director of ITDR. The trainers were experts in the field of destination management, state management, and tourism statistics. The participants were heads of the Culture and Information Offices and specialists in charge of state management of tourism in districts, towns and cities; managers of tourist sites and zones; officers in charge of entry and exit at Na Meo international border gate of Thanh Hoa province.
       Through the lectures, the partcipants were informed of the basic knowledge on tourism and state management of tourism such as the trend of tourism development in the world, the situation and the results of the implementation of the Strategy for Vietnam tourism development to 2020, orientation to 2030; some updated points in the Tourism Law 2017 and Resolution 08-NQ/TW; responsible tourism for local tourism management agencies, management of sustainable tourism development at the local level; methods of surveying and tourism statistics collecting; competitiveness of Vietnam tourism.

       The training course was successfully completed, facilitating the participants to improve their professional knowledge as well as knowledge of state management in tourism. The participants highly appreciated the training content, and hoped to have more advanced courses to create momentum for tourism development in Thanh Hoa province
