Institute for Tourism Development Research: Summary of Work in 2023 and Directions and Tasks for Work in 2024

On January 18, 2023, the Institute for Tourism Development Research organized the conference “Summary of work in 2023 and Directions and Tasks for work in 2024”. The conference was attended by Mr. Pham Van Thuy – Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism; representatives of leaders of units under the Department, representatives of the Vietnam Tourism Association and all leaders, officials and employees of the Tourism Development Research Institute.

At the opening of the conference, Director Nguyen Anh Tuan gave an opening speech. Next, Deputy Director Truong Sy Vinh, on behalf of the Institute for Tourism Research and Development, presented a report summarizing the work in 2023 and directions and tasks in 2024.

After the final report, representatives of the Institute’s units and guests gave their comments to provide future development orientations of the Institute. Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Pham Van Thuy highly appreciated the results of the 2023 work of the Institute for Tourism Development Research with efforts to overcome difficulties and overcome difficulties in the general context. The Deputy Director also has close instructions to effectively operate the Institute in the coming time and meet the expectations of superiors further in 2024.

Along with the summarizing session, the meeting with retired staffs to thank and update the operation of the Institute in 2023 for the staffs who have worked at the Institute also took place in a joyful, warm and friendly atmosphere. Retirees expressed their joy at the Institute’s achievements in 2023, and at the same time contributed many initiatives to the development of the Institute for Tourism Development Research in the coming time.

At the end of the conference, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan would like to thank the presence of the distinguished guests, and wishes all delegates and staff of the Institute a new year 2024 of health, peace and success.
