Institute for Tourism Development Research welcomed delegation from Korea Culture and Tourism Institute

   On September 19th 2017, Institute for Tourism Development Research (ITDR) had a meeting with 02 experts from Korea Culture and Tourism Institute (KCTI) within the framework of cooperation between the two institutes. 

   Representing ITDR at the meeting were Deputy Director, Dr. Do Thi Thanh Hoa and representatives of related departments; the delegation of KCTI was compose of Dr. Lee Won Hee and Dr. Yu Ji Yun, experienced researchers in the field of tourism development policy.
   At the meeting, representative of ITDR introduced the general organization structure, functions, tasks and field of operation of the Institute, as well as the outline of Vietnam’s tourism development in recent years, development trends and effective tourism laws and policies. The two experts from KCTI showed interest in the policies, promotion programs, marketing strategies, and destination management for inbound markets, especially the Chinese tourist market of Vietnam. In addition, the two sides also discussed the development situation, the ongoing hot issues in the development of tourism between the two countries and regions.
   Including in the working program of the KCTI experts in Vietnam was the field survey in Trang An Complex (World Heritage Site of Vietnam), and some other important tourist sites in Ninh Binh. On September 22nd, ITDR organized the workshop “Creative tourism – Opportunities for Vietnam” with the experts from KCTI as the main speakers.
