Field trip in Binh Gia district, Lang Son province

The Institute for Tourism Development Research organized a field trip, led by Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Director of ITDR, under the scheme of project on “Tourism development in Binh Gia district 2018-2025, orientation to 2030”, from 09-12 August 2018 in Binh Gia district. It is aiming at understanding the situation of tourism development, assessing the tourism potentials and identifying tourism development orientation. The mission team has visited the historical relics and outstanding landscapes of the province such as Pac Khuong Market (Thien Thuat Commune), Nang Tien Mountain, Na Tan Village (Lan Luong – Thien Hoa Commune); Then singing club of Mong An village; Dang Mo waterfall, Tram Ai lagoon (Hoang Van Thu commune); Van Mich market, Van Van ferry wharf, Bac Giang river, Mo stream, (Hong Phong commune); Khau Huong Pass; Ngoc Quyen cultural village…
In order to evaluate the current situation of destination’s tourism development, the team has had a discussing session with the leaders of Binh Gia District People’s Committee and officers responsible for Thien Hoa, Mong An, Hong Phong and To Hieu communes. Thus, the province also provided update information on the current situation of tourism activities and development and shared the difficulties that the locals are facing in tourism development.
The team has gathered many important information and achieved its objectives. The results of the trip are valuable materials for the Institute for Tourism Development Research to successfully implement the project.
