Announcing the Decision on approval of Master Plan for tourism development of Tan Trao National Tourist area
On February 24, 2018, at Tan Trao Square of the Tan Trao national tourist area (Son Duong), Tuyen Quang provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision on approval of master plan for tourism development of Tan Trao National tourist area, in Tuyen Quang province till 2030.
Tan Trao national tourist area in the future will be formed and developed in association with the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values and natural values, connecting to the destination of Hanoi capital and ATK Dinh Hoa (Thai Nguyen). According to the plan until 2025, Tan Trao tourist area basically meets the criteria of the National Tourist Area; Expectedly, Tan Trao tourist area becomes a national tourist area with a system of uniformed technical facilities, high quality tourism products, brand name, competitiveness and become one of the tourist centers to 2030, the leading revolutionary cultural and historical calendar of the Northern midland and mountainous region and the whole country. By 2025, Tan Trao National Tourism Zone welcomes about 1.5 million visitor arrivals, of which international visitors reach 2,000. By 2030, the number will be 2 million, of which international visitor arrivals will be 35,000; total revenue from tourists in 2025 reached over 600 VND billion and in 2030 1,650 VND billion.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien announced Decision No. 2073/QD-TTg dated 12/12/2017 of the Prime Minister approving the Master Plan for
Tan Trao national tourist area, Tuyen Quang province by 2030. Deputy Minister expressed hope with this Decision and with the interest of the Party, Government and local efforts, the support of organizations and units at home and abroad , tourism in the Northern midland and mountainous areas in general and Tuyen Quang province in particular will develop sustainably, commensurate with the potential and position of the region. The “Master Plan for the tourism development of Tan Trao National Tourist Area in Tuyen Quang province by 2030” was developed by the Institute for Tourism Development Research in 2 years (2016 – 2017).
