Institute for Tourism Development Research (ITDR) is an affiliate of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Established in 1988, ITDR is functioned to conduct research on developing tourism strategies, planning, policies for state management in tourism; provide research and consultancy services.

Tasks

Conducting scientific and technology research in tourism, including: tourism development strategies, planning, tourism standards, economic-technical norms for tourism sector, market research, tourism product, tourism environment and other related projects.

Providing consultancy services in tourism development; event organizing and other related services.

Providing information on tourism science; publishing scientific and technological research on tourism outcomes.   

Cooperating with individuals and organizations inside and outside the country to carry out scientific studies on tourism.

Organizing post-graduate training in tourism; and taking part in delivering professional training courses in tourism.
